Anna was born in Fraserwood, Manitoba on November 8th, 1919. At the age of five, she moved with her family to a farm in the Mornington school district south of Kindersley where she grew up and attended school.
Anna met and married Eugene Mazzei in May of 1941. Together they started a family in the Eston area then moved to Kindersley. They purchased a farm at Brock and farmed there until they retired.
They spent many winters in Arizona where she learned china painting and also joined the kitchen band and made many side trips to other locations.
Anna's favourite past-times were baking, sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting. Gardening was one of her favourite hobbies along with card playing, sometimes long into the night just to win at least one game. She also considered camping trips to the lake to be a great deal of fun.
Anna's beloved husband Eugene passed away in 1997 and she remained in her home in Rosetown until 2009. She relocated to Kindersley, then to Warman and Saskatoon and then settled in with Denise and Ken in Warman.
After surgery on her leg in 2016, she moved to long-term care in Dalmeny where she resided until she was hospitalized in September.
Anna passed peacefully in her sleep on October 5th in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital.
She is greatly missed by her family: Elaine and Bob, Norma, Sandra and Rudi, Eugene and Cheryl, Randy and Chris, Denise and Ken; son-in-law Keith; her sister Sister Valerie; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her dear husband Eugene; daughter Pat Johnston in 1991; father Egnac Krochenski in 1956; mother Netta (née Mady) in 1965; sisters Helen in 1971 and Mary in 2004; brothers Paul in 1991, Peter in 2013 and Walter in 2014; and son-in-law Murray in 2009.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Theresa's Parish, Rosetown with Reverend Father Emmanuel Azeki, Op celebrant. Rite of Committal followed at Rosetown Cemetery. Donations in memory of Anna may be directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104-2301 Ave C N, Saskatoon, Sask. S7L 5X5.
