Delores Esther (Johnson) FALK

February 19, 1931 ~ November 12, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Delores Esther Falk made her final journey to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 12, 2017. She is now rejoicing and singing with the angels around the throne.

Delores was born February 19, 1931 in Calgary, AB and died November 12, 2017 in Rosetown at the age of 86. She spent her growing up years on a farm in the Waldeck area.

She always had a zest for life and her smile warmed even the coldest of hearts. She gave birth to five daughters which were her pride and joy.

Delores recommitted her life to the Lord and from that moment on set her course for the “prize of the high calling”. She was very involved in her local church helping in whatever way she could. She had a love and passion for music. She travelled in fulltime ministry with a singing trio, ‘His Workmanship’ for 10 years. She was instrumental in beginning a Hymn Sing in Swift Current and was in charge of it for many years. She also was a part of the Executive in various capacities at Heritage Towers were she resided. She was also a “Red Hat” lady who enjoyed the outings with them.

Delores was predeceased by her parents Gust & Julia Anderson, her daughter Deborah Delores Falk, her son-in-laws Earl Norton, Gordon Froment and Paul Berger. She will be greatly missed by those who remain: Yvonne Norton and her children Robert (Shannon) Norton and Debralee (Marty) Gaskin; Jo-Ann Froment and her children Ken (Crystal) Froment, Christine (Adam) Reece and Aaron Froment, Jocelyn Berger and Roberta (Jim) Bell and her son Evan (Brianne) Falk and her greatgrandchildren: Zander and Megan Norton, Hayley Norton, Shannon and Ciara Gaskin, Koryn and Kaitlyn Froment, Cheyenne, Samantha, Peyton and Dakota Reece and Tristan and Braxton Froment. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Delores’ life was held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Church in Swift Current, SK. Memorial donations in memory of Delores may be made to a charity of choice. Flowers tearfully declined.

From the words of her granddaughter Debralee:
My sweet butterfly when it’s time to let go, I’ll cry, I’ll cry
If I can make it back I hope you know I tried
When it’s time for goodbye and your too tired to fight
God will give you your wings to fly just like a butterfly…
Fly…fly…my butterfly.
