Donna Mae Ellen (Perrin) WATT

Donna Mae, a long-time resident of Milden Saskatchewan, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Dinsmore Health Care Centre at the age of 76 years.

Born in 1940 in Swift Current Saskatchewan, Donna Mae moved to Calgary in 1958 where she raised her family. Donna Mae worked many years with Canada Post and eventually Veterans Affairs as a counsellor where she achieved a diploma in gerontology from the University of Manitoba.

Donna Mae had many hobbies and interests including scuba diving, sewing and collecting antiques. She was very involved for many years in the AACCA (Alberta Arms and Cartridge Collectors Association) where she enjoyed target shooting and collecting/showing firearms. Donna Mae was also involved for many years with the Girl Guides of Canada as a leader and provincial commissioner.

Donna Mae is survived by her husband Kenneth Watt, daughter Glenda Houghton (William), son Dean Sharpe (Maureen), seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Glennis Perrin, father Donovan Perrin, brother Patrick Perrin and son Donovan Sharpe.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, 126 2 Avenue NE, Swift Current, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00pm, reception to follow at the Zion Mennonite Church, 78 6 Avenue NE, Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

Donna Mae’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude, to all the staff at Dinsmore Health Care Centre, for the tenderness, love, and exceptional care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue W #1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8.
