Margaret Rose (Bohn) BERTSCH

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Bertsch, recently of Saskatoon, SK after living 72 years in Rosetown, SK.  Margaret peacefully passed away after a short stay in the Rosetown Hospital with her family by her side on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 92 years.

Margaret was born on April 7, 1926 at Tramping Lake, SK. On April 13, 1944 in the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, she married Mike Bertsch also of Tramping Lake. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Rosetown, SK to begin their married life.  They were married 54 years at the time of Mike’s passing on September 1, 1998.

Margaret was an awesome seamstress, she enjoyed fishing and was good at it and the real fun for her was cards and games she so enjoyed with family and friends and especially with her grandchildren.  She loved to cook and family was her life.  She so enjoyed her 17 years at Lions Manor in Rosetown and then King Edward Place in Saskatoon the last three years.

Margaret is survived by daughter Dianne (Garry) Weimer of Saskatoon, daughter Faye (Gerry) Shaw of Red Deer, AB, son Wayne (Bonnie) Bertsch of Saskatoon and also nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by brother Matt and step siblings Ron, Don and Lorraine.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents, husband Mike, grandchild Christa and great grandchild Brett.

A Graveside Service was held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Rosetown Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Father Ralph Kleiter officiating.
