Peter Wallace ROWBOTHAM

Stranraer has lost a long-time member of their farming community.   Mr. Peter Wallace Rowbotham passed away peacefully at the Rosetown & District Health Center on October 16, 2018 at the age of 93 years. 

Peter was born on May 5, 1925 in Dodsland, SK to Bertha Ella (Noble) and Cecil William Rowbotham. 

Pete was predeceased by his parents, his brothers William, Brian, Harry, John and sisters Constance and Pauline.  Peter is survived by numerous nephews and nieces, nine great nephews and nieces, three great-great nephews and one great-great niece. 

Farming was Pete’s life.  His love of the land and passion for farming was true to the end with Pete’s concern for the progress of this year’s harvest.   Pete will be remembered fondly by the many people whose hearts he touched. 

Funeral Service for Pete was held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Shanidar Funeral Chapel, 510 Young Street, Rosetown, SK. Donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Alex Ositis Foundation, P.O. Box 1251, Rosetown, SK, S0L 2V0.
