Bertha HAINSTOCK Obituary

It is with deepest love and sadness that the family of Bertha Marie Hainstock announce her passing at the Elrose Health Centre on July 26, 2025. Bertha will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Gail, grandchildren Dean, Rob, Teri-Lynn and family, daughter-in-law Connie, grandchildren Coral, Cheri, Chawn, Lea, Jamie, and family, 18 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Bertha was predeceased by her husband William(Bill) Hainstock in 1999, son Charles in 2018, son-in-law Terry in 2019, her parents Emile and Celina Genest, brothers Louis, Ralph, Albert, Leo and sister Violet, and many other family members.

In 1942, Bertha married Bill Hainstock and farmed in the Harris district. They were blessed with two children Charles and Gail. Bertha loved spending time with her family and friends. The grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great source of pride and she cherished every moment with them.

Bertha was a member of the Harris Ladies Legion Auxiliary for 45 years plus. She enjoyed playing cards, working in her flower beds, crafting, bingo, knitting, and most of all listening, singing and humming to music.

Bertha moved into the Elrose Health Centre in October 2009, where she resided for the last 15 years. This was her home away from home. She created many friends and memories over these years and will leave a lasting impression on the staff at the Centre.

Her family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Elrose Health Centre who cared for Bertha for the last 15 years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in her hometown of Harris, Saskatchewan.

Bertha, thank you for providing our life with many wonderful memories and so much kindness. You will be so missed, and will remain in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Bertha's Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Harris Hall, 214 Main Street, Harris, SK. Friends and Family are invited to join us in celebrating the life of Bertha.
