In Memory of Clement Oliva Joseph Carriere

February 11, 1937 - October 8, 2022

Clem was the youngest child of Ludvic and Aurora Carriere’s family of 11 children, he grew up in the Ponteix area. Upon completion of schooling, he went to work for the Saskatchewan Department of Highways where he joined the bridge building crew. During this time, Clem met and married the love of his life, Jean Carriere (née Parrish) who he was with for over 55 years. Their family was started. Clem is survived by his loving family - wife Jean Carriere, son Allen Carriere, daughter Suzanne Carriere and grandchildren Kyle Carriere, Cienna Giroux and Konnor Giroux as well as many extended family. Clement’s thirst for knowledge didn’t end. He continued to learn trades and things that caught his interest. The Department of Highways retired him at 49, he was far from being done. His interests and thirst for knowledge of how things worked made him very self-sufficient. His ability to think through a problem to achieve a solution was truly a blessing. He not only used his talents and abilities for his home, family and friends but use them for helping so many in his community. A public visitation was held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Shanidar Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish.
