Dean passed away peacefully at the Rosetown Hospital with his family by his side on July 21, 2023. Dean was born in Rosetown to Stewart and Alva Morrison and was a little brother to Dale Morrison. Dean was raised and went to school in Rosetown, where he met the love of his life Gloria and were married and had 3 sons - Darrell, Robbie and Dene.
Dean always had a smile on his face and was well known to everyone, everywhere - there wasn’t anywhere he could go without starting a conversation with someone or anyone and it didn’t matter what the topic was about, you were guaranteed to be standing there for at least half an hour.
Dean worked at the Wheat Pool Service Center for 35 dedicated years. Dean was huge into volunteering his time, especially to help young people. If you were in Cadets, chances are he was there instructing you. Dean was dedicated to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Association, where he was an instructor for over 50 years, teaching all Rosetown and surrounding areas how to hunt and was proud of every person he taught whether it was hunter safety or PAL. Dean was a devoted hunter and bestowed that passion onto his three sons, daughters-in-law and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dean was a lifetime member of the Rosetown Legion Branch 66, he spent numerous hours volunteering, whether it was burger night, Vets supper or just going for a drive to check out fellow members. Dean was President of the Legion for many years, until he stepped down this last year.
Dean was a man of many words, but one thing he always instilled in his loved ones, is the importance of family. Left to cherish Dean’s memories are his loving wife of almost 50 years Gloria, his sons and their families Robbie (Melanie) - Austin (Kelsey), Grace; Jayde (Ty), Paisley, Waylon; and Skylar. Dene (Melissa) - Danika, Denae, Deneile and Jocelyn. Tristan and Cheyanne; and his bonus son Shaun (Jamie) Brenen and Brooklynn; his brother Dale (Debby), Jennifer, Nadean (Matt) Hailey, Nathan; his brother-in-law Dale (Judy) Jeff, Cory, Jennifer and sister-in-law Valerie (Murray) Joel, Colin and Hanna
Dean was predeceased by his son Darrell, his mother Alva, father Stewart, niece Teri, mother-in-law Margarete and father-in-law Joe
