Derek Errin SNIDER

It is with immeasurable sadness the family of Derek Errin Snider of Elrose, SK announce his sudden passing on April 29, 2023 at the age of 30 years.

Derek was born on August 9, 1992 at the Rosetown Hospital. He was raised on the farm near Hughton. He went to school in Elrose and graduated in 2010. He then took a welding course at Great Plains College in Rosetown. Farming was in his blood and his passion until he started working for Western Sales in 2021. Derek was obsessed with hunting, fishing and spent many early mornings setting up decoys for goose hunting. Boating and sledding were also a passion and he loved his time in the mountains on the sled with his friends. Derek was a kind quiet man that could strike up a conversation with anyone and for that reason he had many good friends. He was always close to his family and kept in touch. In 2021 he met Bree Gorman and knew he found his life partner. They lived in Elrose and enjoyed their house, yard and time together. Derek is lovingly remembered by his parents Errin and Mae Snider, his partner Bree Gorman, brother Shawn Snider (Kenzie) and fur baby Poppy, his grandmother Laura Sweet and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather Vince Sweet, grandfather Earl Snider, grandmother Edna Snider, aunty Wanda Sanderson and Terry Sparks.

He will be remembered by his kind heart and quiet ways.

A Celebration of Derek's Life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elrose Memorial Hall with Reverend Aurora Espenant officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Derek may be directed to the Elrose Volunteer Fire Brigade, P.O. Box 601, Elrose, SK, S0L 0Z0.
