Donna Jane (Bennett) WALDAL

It is with sadness the family of Donna Waldal announce her passing on December 8, 2024 at Rose Villa at the age of 87 years.

Donna was born on August 5, 1937 in Harris, SK to Gordon and Eunice (nee Henderson) Bennett. Donna met Ken Waldal and they were married in Weyburn, SK on October 20, 1955. They had five children – Teresa, Susan, Timothy, Tony and Kenny. Ken and Donna divorced in the early 1980’s but continued as lifelong partners until Ken’s passing on December 14, 2014.

Donna loved Bingo, she always looked forward to Fridays at Rose Villa which was known as “Bingo Day”. Donna loved travelling, she and Ken took a trip to Las Vegas and she went on a few bus tours and trips to Hawaii with her sister Sharon.

Donna’s family was the most important part of her life. She was an amazing mother who made a lot of sacrifices for her children. She had such a strong inner strength; she was kind, caring and so very generous. We will all love her and miss her always.

Donna is survived by her children Theresa, Susan (Mike), Timothy, Tony (Teresa) and Kenny, grandchildren Michael, Cam, Connor, Kyle, Dez, Chris, Nile, Jeff, Jason, Jenna and Janelle, great-grandchildren Haisley, Wrenley, Ethan, Jordyn, Brooklyn, Gage, Madison, Lucas, Veda, Bronson, Brodie and Elise and siblings Sharon, Tom and David. Donna had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She had a very special connection to Brenda (her sister Marlene’s daughter) who would pop in for visits which she loved. Sandra (her sister Sharon’s daughter) was also very special to her.

She was predeceased by her husband Ken Waldal, parents Gordon and Eunice Bennett, granddaughter Anise and siblings Dora, Harry, Lorna, Bob and Marlene.

As per Donna’s wishes, no service will be held.
