Earl Harbicht - husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, farmer, hunter, fisherman and friend passed away on May 31, 2020 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 103 years.
Earl lived a vibrant life, he grew up in the farming community of Hughton, SK where he met his wife of 70 years, Vivian Hungerford. There, they started their own farm and raised three children. Earl was a farmer through and through, from sun up to sun down, he was either in the field, looking after cattle and pigs or tending the garden. Earl loved to go hunting and fishing with his family and neighbors. He cherished gardening and sharing his flowers and vegetables. Earl had an ear for music, you would always find him playing his guitar, accordion or joining in a sing-a-long. Earl was active in his community, he was a member of the Hughton School Board, Elrose Lions and Kyle Fish and Game League. Earl achieved 50-year membership recognition with the Masons and a lifetime membership with the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. Earl had a quick wit and loved to tell stories and joke around. He touched the lives of all he met and will be dearly missed.
Earl is survived by his son Owen (Bonnie) Harbicht and daughter Earlla (Roy) Jennett; his four grandchildren: Darren (Tetyana) Harbicht, Travis (Faye) Harbicht, Dawn (Scott) Masich and Dalyce (Luc) Vermette and his nine great-grandchildren: Carson, Joshua, Alexander and Harrison Harbicht, Mason and Hayley Harbicht and Michel, Nicolas and Sebastien Vermette. Earl was predeceased by his wife Vivian, his brothers Harold and Melvin, his son Alvin, and daughter-in-law Alice.
An interment will be held at a later date.
