Edith Mae (Heron) THOMAS

It is with sadness the family of Edith Mae Thomas announce her passing at St. Paul’s Hospital on June 12, 2023 at the age of 89 years.

Edith was born in Cabri, SK on May 16, 1934. She attended She attended Waldensian Valley School and LCBI in Outlook. She worked as a Nurses Aide at Cabri and at Safeway in Swift Current. She was married in 1972 and moved to Rosetown in 1993 where she lived until she moved to Heritage Manor in Kindersley where she resided until her passing.

Edith was a wonderful homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother - not to mention all the help she gave on the farm! She was a happy, kind, soft spoken lady - she looked for the silver lining in life and was grateful for help she was given. She loved flowers, birds and animals as well as collecting many different things. She enjoyed bowling and knitting, but especially coffee with her friends.

Edith is survived by her son Greg (Dianne) Goddard; daughter Charlene (Roland) Pollries; grandchildren Clayton, Amanda, T.J., Dean, Danae and Shane and great-grandchildren Natalia, Gabrielle, Mackenzie, Chase, Mackenzie, Callie, Aislynn, Nuala and Tydhg. She was predeceased by her husband George Thomas, her parents, her four brothers and four sisters.

A Celebration of Edith's Life will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Shanidar Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jeannine Cline officiating.
