Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Elizabeth (Betty) Joy Dinsmore announce her passing at the age of 87. Betty passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Rosetown & District Health Centre with her family by her side.

Betty leaves behind her three sons: Mark (Brenda) and their children Max and Rowen (Tanner); Blake (Peggy) and their children Nikki (Trevor), Steve (Tori), Dana (Morgan); Brett (Eva) and their children Carissa (Derek), Chelsea (Aaron); her four great-grandchildren Payton, Keira, Archer and Emma and her sisters-in-law Myrt Heide and Lynda Rudd.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill, her parents and all of her siblings.

Betty was born in Tuberose, SK to Anna and Anton Hubler. She spent her teenage years in Mission, BC and moved back to Saskatchewan once she graduated from high school. She came back for a short visit with her brothers Tony and Frank and ended up taking a job at the Elrose Hospital as Lab and X-Ray Technician. In 1955, Betty married the love of her life, Bill. When Bill purchased Hunt-Graber in 1969, Betty became the official bookkeeper.

Betty enjoyed being a part of the Elrose Museum Board and a member of the UCW. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, painting and spending time with her family. She was well loved by family and friends with her chatty personality. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.

Special thanks to the staff at the Rosetown Hospital for all they did to make Betty's life easier during her time there. The family knew she was receiving the very best care. Thanks to Betty’s friends and neighbours for their support and care that she received while she was living at home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elrose United Church with Pastor Deborah Springer officiating. Private interment to follow at the Elrose Cemetery. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Elrose Volunteer Ambulance & Fire Department, P.O. Box 122, Elrose, SK.
