It is with sadness that the family of Elmer Lahti announces his passing on May 16, 2024. Elmer was born in Steeldale, Saskatchewan on Feb 26, 1930. His working life was spent on the farm southwest of Dinsmore. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and keeping up with local and professional sports, especially baseball. Elmer moved into Rosetown in 1993. He enjoyed his retirement years taking up bowling and doing some travelling until his eyesight failed. Keenly interested in local history and nature, he was an active member of the Saskatchewan Archeological Society and several other local groups.
Elmer was predeceased by his parents Ebba and Waino Lahti, his sister Ellen Crossman and brother-in-law Graham Crossman. He is survived by his nieces Patricia Crossman and Phyllis Murray (Bob) and his nephews Dave Crossman (Lois) and Glen Crossman (Michelle) as well as his grandnephews Kevin Crossman, Sean Murray, Ethan Crossman and grandnieces Laura Crossman and Heather Tweedie.
A special Thank you to the caring staff of Rosetown Hospital, Orange Memories and Rosevilla. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
