JoAnne Louise (Maxemniuk) HUCK

It is with sadness the family of JoAnne Louise Huck (née Maxemniuk) announce her passing on January 28, 2020 at the Rosetown & District Health Centre at the age of 63 years.

JoAnne was born in Milden, SK on April 17, 1956 to Victoria (née Chernipeski) and Maurice Maxemniuk. She attended school in Milden, graduating from Milden Central High School in 1974. She was accepted into the RCMP but changed her mind and decided she wanted to raise a family. She married Daryl Robert Huck on October 4, 1975 and they welcomed three daughters; Angela in 1979, Rebecca in 1983 and Kristy in 1985.

JoAnne studied as a Home Care Aide and farmed with Daryl until they opened Rosetown Satellite and Cellular in 1992. She worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at RCHS and coached Senior B girls volleyball and enjoyed many years of Pike Lake trips with the grade sevens. She retired from the High School to work with Daryl at Rosetown Cellular until Daryl’s passing in 2012. JoAnne continued to operate the business and was overjoyed to have each one of her daughters come home one by one to run the day to day operations at the store.

She loved the Saskatchewan Roughriders, curling, travelling, family trips, camping and the family cabin; she was a fixture at Hitchcock Bay. JoAnne and Daryl enjoyed spending time with friends with whom they took several trips. She loved her family time and always said everything she did was for her family whom she loved very much, especially her three grandchildren Madelaine Senecal, Brenna Hawkins and Aiden Hawkins.

JoAnne is survived by her daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren Angela & Tim Hawkins and their children Brenna Hawkins (born 2008, adopted 2012) and Aiden Hawkins (born 2015, adopted 2019); Rebecca & Brandon Senecal and their daughter Madelaine Senecal (born December 16, 2019) and Kristy Huck; mother Vicki Maxemniuk; brother and sister-in-law Dale & Heather Maxemniuk and their sons Jamie Maxemniuk and family and Jesse Maxemniuk and family; sister and brother-in-law Valerie & Blair Lothian and nieces Brittany Brooks and family, Jacqueline & Bryden Klotz and Janine Lothian and sister-in-law Jacqueline Huck. She was predeceased by her husband Daryl in 2012, father-in-law Charles Huck in 2016, mother-in-law Olive Huck (née Brown) in 1988 and father Maurice Maxemniuk in 1984.

A Celebration of JoAnne's Life was held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Rosetown United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeannine Cline officiating.
