John David REYNOLDS

The family of John Reynolds sadly announces his passing on September 26, 2021. John is survived by his wife Thelma Reynolds, children Amanda (Schaan) Reynolds, Jarod (Deanne) Reynolds, stepchildren Richard (Loverna) Robinson, Rosalle (Adrian) Painter, grandchildren Tyler, Morgan, Aden, Nathan, Charlea and Muriel, mother Lila Reynolds and brothers Paul (Joanne) Reynolds, Bruce (Debbie) Reynolds. He was predeceased by his father David Reynolds. 

John was born on June 30, 1953 in Brockville, Ontario. He moved to Calgary, Alberta with his mom and two brothers when he was eight years old. He attended high school at James Fowler high school. After graduating he went to culinary school at SAIT where he discovered he enjoyed eating the food more than cooking it. He then had a few odd jobs before he began his 28-year career with the City of Calgary as a Truck Operator. 

John and Thelma were married in 1998. They loved spending time going to garage sales, gardening, hunting, camping and would participate in the Boler camping trips around Alberta and Saskatchewan and just sitting together talking. When they retired, they made the decision to move to Milden, Saskatchewan. They recently moved to Rosetown. 

Spending time with friends and family was one of John’s favourite things. He was known for being very generous and always willing to help others in whatever way he could. He was passionate about canning, survival planning, solar energy, and sharing his knowledge with whoever would listen. 

His passing leaves his family with an empty place in their hearts. He will be greatly missed. 

A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Rosetown Community Church.
