John (Jack) Raymond Crossman passed away peacefully at home in Rosetown, SK on January 22, 2024.
Jack was born to James and Christine Crossman in Rosetown in 1929. He spent a good long life farming and doing carpentry work and curling in the winters, serving on the school board, Kinsmen Club and Masonic Lodge; volunteering for the construction of the rink, the golf course and United Church hall. He was deeply committed to his community in his younger years. In his later years, he and Betty enjoyed the warmer climate of Mesa, AZ for part of the winter, playing lots of bridge and golf with friends. He will be missed dearly.
Jack is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years Betty Irene (née Hutcheon) Crossman, son Les John (Angie), daughter Susan Irene (Derek) Rogers, grandchildren Chad, Todd (Michell), Cody, Landon (Rebecca) and Nicole (Jordan), great-grandchildren Kingston and Nixon, brother Bill Crossman and sisters Jean Ryba and Marj Mann. He was predeceased by his parents James and Christine Crossman, sister Marion Major and son David Crossman.
A Celebration of Jack's Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Alex Ositis Foundation, P.O. Box 1251, Rosetown, SK, S0L 2V0.
