Julie Diane Facca
May 12, 1959 – September 12, 2022
Julie was born to parents Elma and Ferry Facca, May 12, 1959, in Dinsmore Hospital, and grew up on the family farm southeast of Wiseton, attended school in Dinsmore, and later resided for many years in Outlook. Tragically she perished September 12, 2022, in a home fire.
Julie was predeceased by our Dad, siblings Chris, Elizabeth, Robert, niece Lindsay, nephew Chris, grandparents, cousins, many aunts and uncles. Julie is survived by our mom Elma, siblings, Lois, Gary (Linda), Kathie, Suzanne, Denise (Rob), Greg (Cindy) Jackie, many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Julie was always interested in people, made friends easily, and had a keen sense of humour, enjoying sharing a good joke or humorous story. As shared by friends, she enjoyed sports in her school years, particularly softball, basketball and volleyball, and was a very good pitcher and setter!
Julie was very musical, and for many years enjoyed the study of piano along with the antics of the musical journey spent with friends and with Charles Birss in Rosetown as their teacher. Even as a young child, she was a talented singer, inheriting her gift of natural harmonization from Mom! She also “enjoyed” playing Eb Alto Sax in the Dinsmore High School band, inheriting that talent from the inspiration of our Dad!!
One of Julie’s heartfelt passions was for animals, especially horses and cats, and was always interested in animal advocacies. She was well known as a horse trainer for many years, training her own horses as well as horses for others, involving shows and competitions, with many trophies, ribbons and articles illustrating her accomplishments.
Julie was a talented western wear designer and seamstress, operating for a number of years, as her business card logo read, “JD’s Custom Chaps and Designs, Tailored Show Apparel for that ‘Special Look’ in the Show Ring.” She often summonsed younger sister, Jackie, to participate as her model!
Julie operated hair salons in Outlook and Milden for a number of years until a vehicle accident made it very difficult for her to continue.
Donations in remembrance of Julie may be made towards animal advocacies of your choice. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
