June Prehodchenko, 71, of Rosetown, SK passed away on the 14th of June.
Born June 3rd, 1955 on a farm outside of Perdue to Peter and Edna Prehodchenko, June will be remembered for her sense of humour and generous heart. She is survived by her brother, Wayne and sister, Gail, four nieces, and eight great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Larry and Bill.
Our sweet June was full of laughter, love and kindness towards anyone she met. She spent her younger years living in Perdue close to family, and was an incredible cook, bowler, and friend. Her culinary specialties were Easter and Thanksgiving meals and her family will remember her for her pumpkin pies and cherry tarts. She was also very crafty and was especially gifted with “diamond art”.
June’s legacy of warmheartedness and consideration will remain an inspiration to those close to her and we will never forget the sound of her laugh. She never forgot a birthday, and loved to be the first one to celebrate with those she cared about. June spent the latter portion of her life being cared for by the staff at the Wheatland Regional Centre where she was excellently cared for and loved by many.
A service for June will be held at the Perdue Cemetery on Friday, July 3rd at 1:30PM, with a memorial luncheon to follow at the New Horizons Center in Perdue at 2:00PM. As a family we encourage you to honour her memory by enjoying a good meal with loved ones, and looking around for someone who might need a smile today.
