Karen (Bourque) WOODS

It is with great sadness the family of Karen Woods announce her passing on June 13th,2024 at the Lucky Lake Health Centre. She went peacefully after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Karen was born February 7th, 1949 in Red Deer Alberta. When she was 8 years old her family moved to Halkirk Alberta, where she went to school and eventually met her first husband Robert Borrowman.  They married in 1966 and were blessed with 4 children.

Dan Borrowman (Karine), Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan

In 2004 Karen married her second husband Ray Woods and the two of them made the move to Lucky Lake Saskatchewan. Karen fell in love with the community and has been there ever since.

Karen loved her family and was a sister to Elsie Teulon, Lavern, Patty and Irene.

She was also a loving Grandmother to 11 Grandchildren:

Dyllan, Rebecca, Garrett, Wyatt, Colton, Jessica -Rae, Cody, Talisha, Jolene, Karlene and Coral.

As well as a Great Grandmother to Aurora, Carter and Christian.

She always loved to visit them, making sure to attend their high school graduations.

A Celebration of Karen’s Life will be held later in the summer.
