Keith McCONNELL

Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Keith McConnell was taken from us January 12, 2025 on his way to do what he loved, playing music with his friends.

Keith McConnell was born to Avery and Irene McConnell (nee Pateman) August 23, 1951. Keith married Maureen (Powell) the love of his life on June 3, 1972 in Wiseton, Saskatchewan. Keith and Maureen raised their family of three children, Cory, Dallas, and Coralei, on an acreage near Wiseton.

Keith lived his life with a love of his family, music, and working with his hands. When he was not fabricating, fixing or operating equipment, he spent many hours sharing his passion for music by teaching aspiring steel guitar players and entertaining others. In recent years, Keith pursued his dream of playing steel guitar professionally throughout western Canada.

Keith was predeceased by his wife Maureen, his parents Avery and Irene and sister Pat.

Keith is survived by his faithful companion Kenzie; children Cory & Carla, Dallas & Andrea and Coralei & Terry; grandchildren Rebecca, James, Wade and Laura; brothers Donald, Ronald and Malcolm; and sister Dianna.

Keith recently re-united with Lesley Jabour and enjoyed getting to know her family. Lesley was placed for adoption early in Keith’s life, prior to his relationship with Maureen.

A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rosetown United Church, Rosetown, Saskatchewan. A video recording of the service is available to view here.
