Laurence Howard LOCHEED

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laurence Howard Locheed, who died peacefully on July 1, 2025, at Rose Villa in Rosetown, SK at the age of 92.

Born on June 16, 1933 in Kelfield, SK, Laurence lived a life full of joy, laughter and connection. A true "pool shark," he loved the game and was known for his impressive skills. He was also an avid two-stepper, enjoying many dances throughout his life. Laurence found immense joy in simply being present, whether it was walking or spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a remarkable memory, especially when it came to classic vehicles, able to recall the make, model, and year of any old car. Playing cards was another favorite pastime, often accompanied by his captivating stories from the "old days."

Laurence was the quintessential life of the party, known for his great sense of humor and his charming, sociable, and relaxed demeanor. He was a hardworking and loveable man who embraced life with an active spirit.

Laurence was predeceased by his first wife, Doreen, 60 years ago, and his second wife, Myrtle, in February 2024. He was also predeceased by his parents, Florence and Hugh, his brother Sid, and his sister Donna.

He will be deeply missed by his eight children: Debbie, Kerry, Julie, Dale, Laurence Jr., Adam, Crystal, and Candace. He also leaves behind countless grandchildren who brought him immense happiness, and his only sister, Betty.

A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate Laurence's life.
