Coping with Grief

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda Doreen Burton-Campbell on September 4, 2022 and Donald Gordon Campbell on September 6, 2022. Left to cherish their memories are their four children: Sheri (Warren), Deneane, Dana, and Christopher; eight grandchildren: Cole (Christina), Mercedes, Aleisha, William, Kali, Morgan, Jayde and Liam and four great-grandchildren: Griffyn, Arlo, Adrianna and Adaline; Linda’s brother Jim and several cousins; Don’s two brothers Walter (Joyce) and Robert; sister-in-law Dorothy and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda was predeceased by her parents Ken (1995) and Joyce (2001). Don was predeceased by his parents Merrill (1989) and Ruth (1985), brother Richard, brother Neil (2009), sister-in-law Joan (2017) and his youngest daughter Sabrina (2021). Don met Linda shortly after his divorce to his first wife Brenda McKenzie, the mother of Don’s four older children. Don and Linda married November 21, 1989 and formed a beautiful life together at Zealandia, SK where they raised their son born in December 1991. Linda obtained her teaching degree and taught kindergarten at the Pelican Lake Indian Reserve - Chitek Lake, SK until she retired in the fall of 2020. Prior to teaching, Linda worked for a local optometrist in Rosetown and the Saskatchewan Health District in the Prairie North Health Region. Don helped his parents on the farm while growing up and as a young man worked on the oil rigs as a Driller taking him all over Alberta and the Arctic Circle. After he married Linda, he worked locally in and around Rosetown, SK where he retired from Cargill. Don and Linda enjoyed much of their summers at Dore Lake, SK where they enjoyed the company of family and numerous long-time friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice. The Funeral will be held at the Zealandia Church in Zealandia, SK on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Cremation interment to follow at Zealandia Cemetery.
