Marguerite “Hope” Smith

No farewells were spoken

There was no time to say goodbye

You were gone before we knew it

And only God knows why

It is with broken hearts the family of Marguerite “Hope” Smith share she left us to be with her Lord on October 14, 2024 at the age of 71 years.

She has left to mourn her cherished husband of 50 years and best friend and soul mate of many more Bob Smith, two children Taralei (Al) and Tyler (Erin), grandchildren Taylor, Luke, Blair (Samantha), Kiana (Ryan), William and Noah, great-granddaughter Paizley, her deeply loved fur baby Bongo, mother-in-law Geraldine Smith, siblings Bob (Donna), Heather (Shane), Bill, Andy (Debbie), MickiLynn (Keith) and June (Bill). She will be deeply missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews - both blood and chosen.

Hope was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her son Richard Smith, her parents Jim and Marguerite Brown, father-in-law Mick Smith, sister Patty Brown, brothers Gerry Brown, Rod Smith and Kevin Smith, beloved nephews Larry Brown and Keagan Evans and best friend Cathy Coghlin.

A Celebration of Hope’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Rosetown Elks Hall. There will be a luncheon to follow since Hope would want to share a meal with all the people she loved. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Canadian Blood Services or Prairie Pooches Animal Rescue.
