Mary Ellen (Newport) FUNK

Mary Ellen Funk (née Newport) was born October 16, 1925 and passed away on May 11, 2023 at the age of 97 years.

Mary is survived by her children Leona (Jack) Chapman and family, Gerald (Cheryl) Funk and family and son-in-law Eddy Jones and family. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, her daughter Freda Jones, her parents and all of her siblings.

Special thanks to the staff of the Dinsmore Health Care Centre for their very “special” care and to friends and neighbors for their support while mom was residing in her home in Dinsmore.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Dinsmore Seniors Hall. Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Dinsmore Health Care Center, P.O. Box 219, Dinsmore, SK, S0L 0T0.
