Mary Chorneyko Weber was born to her parents, Fred and Annie Kowaluk in Pine River MB.
She attended teacher’s college in Winnipeg at age 16 with her older sister, Elsie. Her first teaching position was in Cowan, MB. There she met and married Steve Chorneyko. They lived in several communities in SK and raised 3 children.
She moved to Rosetown in December of 1986. She worked for Dr. Reikman at the dental office for 20 years.
She married Ed Weber in 2013 and moved to Fairview, AB. In 2014 she moved back to Rosetown and spent the rest of her life here.
She was a proud member of the Rosetown Lions Club in her later years. She was always ready to lend a hand when and wherever needed.
Mary was pre-deceased by her infant daughter Christine, her parents, her sister Elsie White, and her brothers Peter and John Kowaluk.
Leaving to mourn her passing are her children Rodney (Mariane) Chorneyko, Darcy (Athina) Chorneyko, Angela (Les) Crossman. Her grandchildren Cody Crossman, Nicole (Jordan) Crossman, Emma Chorneyko, Jane (Sam) Chorneyko and her beloved great grandson Nixon Mears. Also, her 2 remaining sisters, Nadia Batholomew and Helen Didur.
A private family service was held at a later date.
