Maxine Letourneau passed away peacefully on Saturday December 12, 2020 at the age of 88 years.
Maxine was born on May 31, 1923 in Milden, SK. She received her education at many schools around the province as her father was a CN station agent and moved frequently. When they lived at Wartime, she took her Grade 12 at Invermay, SK and upon graduation, she moved to Saskatoon to become a telephone operator followed by a transfer to Rosetown where she met Henry Letourneau. Maxine was an avid supporter of the Rosetown Musical Festival for many years, she enjoyed piecing together many quilts, entering contests, sudoku and reading a good book.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son Gordon Letourneau and daughter Lois Clark (Barry Whitehouse); sister Verna Bull; sister-in-law Eileen MacLean; grandchildren Danielle (Trevor Winny), Chantelle (Mike de Coninck Smith), Christopher, Janelle, Michelle (Jon Martodam), Kevin (Kaitlyn Clark) and Jennifer (Jeff Lee); 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by her husband Henry Letourneau, parents Ken and Gwen Elliott, in-laws Chris and Catherine Letourneau, brother Bill Elliott, brother-in-law Dick Bull and Henry’s siblings Rene, Maurice, Eva, Mariette, Theresa, step-sisters Madeleine and Mary and step-brothers Michael and Gerry.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of Maxine's life will be held at a later date.
