72 years old
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Milt Baker of Rosetown, Saskatchewan on August 30, 2024 at the age of 72.
Milt is survived by his loving family: five children, Curtis Baker of Calgary, Alberta, Dustin (Sandi) Baker of Calgary, Alberta, Don (Charlene) Thompson of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Elaine (Dave) Lane of Hope, British Columbia, and Jackie (Stephen) Friedt of Osler, Saskatchewan, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Milt is predeceased by his wife, Judy Thompson (2022), his mom Mary Irene Lockhart (1997), brother Geoff Lockhart (2020), and his sister Bonnie Desjardins (2023).
Milt was born and raised for most of his childhood in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. He later moved with his mother to Saskatoon where he attended high school. Later Milt returned to Rosetown where he worked with a few companies before he proudly began his career with the Department of Highways, performing many roles there until his retirement.
Milt truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for fishing, hunting, camping and golf. You would often see him volunteering at the Legion and Golf Club in town.
Those of us who were fortunate to know Milt well, will miss having a good debate from time to time and his kind heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Milt's honor to the Rosetown Youth Centre, P.O. Box 398, Rosetown, SK, S0L 2V0.
A Celebration of Life Come & Go will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Rosetown Golf Club, directions can be found here.
