Muriel Isabella (Kelsey) HINTZE

Muriel Isabella (Kelsey) Hintze was born February 1, 1921 in Brantford, Ontario.    She grew up in Wartime, SK.  Muriel married Ross Hintze on July 26, 1941.  Ross and Muriel’s only son, Elmer, was born July 11, 1942. Muriel and Ross lived and farmed in Elrose and spent many winters in Weslaco, Texas.  Muriel was strong, independent and vibrant and had a great sense of humor.  She loved to have a good time, play cards, golf, knit, read and spend time with people.

Muriel passed away peacefully on February 24, 2024.  Muriel and her family are so grateful for the care and attention that she received from the staff at the Health Centre for her last year and a half.

Muriel was predeceased by her husband Ross (1982), grand daughter Suzanne (1988), son Elmer (2004) daughter-in-law Caroline (2023) and her siblings Ethel, Viola, Elmer and Roy.  

She is survived by her grandsons Ross (Kari) Hintze and Jason (Brenda) Hintze; great grandchildren Jazmine (Derek) Guinan, Kelsey (Matt) Waffle and Isaac Hintze; and great grandsons George and Oliver Guinan and Joey Waffle.

A Celebration of Muriel’s Life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elrose United Church. Donations in memory of Muriel can be made to the Elrose Health Care Auxiliary.
