Norah (Jones) STROM

Norah Strom passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020 at the Kyle and District Health Centre in Kyle, SK one day before her 87th birthday. 

Norah was born on April 8th, 1933 to Sam and Agnes Jones, in Swift Current SK. She attended Central and Beatty schools then completed a bookkeeping course.  Norah was employed by Tripp Lumber (later Beaver Lumber) as a bookkeeper in Swift Current, SK.

 On October 24, 1952 Norah married Magnus Strom of Kyle, SK.  She then moved to her beloved farm. There they raised three children; Diane, Sharon, and Douglas. Norah loved farm life, especially calving season and her numerous cats.  She was a fabulous baker and cook, which her family could attest to. 

Norah lived on the farm until her husband's passing on January 22, 2014.  She then moved to Lloydminster, AB to live with her daughter Diane and son-in-law Ken. In September of 2014 Norah moved to the Kyle and District Health Centre in Kyle, SK. She lived there until her passing.

The most important thing in Norah's life was her family. They will miss her dearly.

Norah was predeceased by her husband Magnus, parents Sam and Agnes née Mitchell Jones, sister Maureen Cave and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Norah will be forever missed by her children Diane (Ken) McMullen of Lloydminster, AB, Sharon (Lynn) Nelson of Kyle, SK, and Doug Strom of Prince Albert, SK; grandchildren Lisa (Wade) Graham of Lloydminster, AB, Rachelle (Kirby) Wempe of Lloydminster, AB, Mollie Strom of Prince Albert, SK; great-grandchildren Brianna Wempe of Ottawa ON, Rylan Wempe, Mya Graham, Sophie Graham, Jase Graham, all of Lloydminster AB, and Scarlet Strom of Prince Albert, SK.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Kyle and District Health Centre.
