It is with sadness the family of Rodney Woodrow of Kyle, SK announce his passing on February 15, 2023 at the age of 75 years.
Rod was born in Elrose, SK on November 6, 1947 to parents Jim and Anna Woodrow. He was raised in Kyle and Swift Current, attending school and having fun. Being raised in a farming family, Rod followed in the farming footsteps and enjoyed many years as a farmer and carpenter. He also worked at the Allan Potash Mine for four years, spent several years with Sheet’s Grain Systems and did custom combining in the States for two harvest seasons. Rod met the love of his life, Linda Pittman and they were married on January 4, 1975.
Rod enjoyed puttering around the farm, helping others with whatever he could with some jokes and laughs along the way, listening to music, playing cards and woodworking. He was strong, sincere genuine, and quick to laugh. He enjoyed volunteering his time with the Elks Bonspiel Team and the United Church Board over the years.
Rod will be missed by his loving wife Linda Woodrow; son Jamie (Jolie) Woodrow; daughter Miranda (Sean) Finell; grandchildren Jada (Keenan) Guenther, Emersyn Woodrow, Kade Woodrow, Luke O’Connor, Shanelle O’Connor, Mark O’Connor and Kristin Finell; great-grandchild Lennon Guenther; siblings Kandy Valentine and Emily Bergquist as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Anna Woodrow, in-laws Don and Virginia Pittman children Arlee Woodrow and Lisa Woodrow, sister Arletta Woodrow and brothers-in-law Randy Valentine and Gary Bergquist.
A Celebration of Rod's Life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kyle Elks & Community Hall with Pastor Linda Hall officiating.
