ROSANNA THERESA CROSS
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rosanna “Rose” Theresa Cross at Rosetown Hospital on June 24th, 2018 at the age of 86. Rose was born in Spalding, Saskatchewan on September 29th, 1931 as the 10th of 11 children. Rose married Harvey Cross, from Fiske, Saskatchewan, in 1957 and together they raised 4 children. Rose was a hardworking, dedicated farm wife who loved her family and her community. She was a host at heart, who welcomed anyone in for a cup of coffee, a meal, just a snack, or a game of cards. Rose loved sports, whether it was watching her kids or grandkids, or watching the Blue Jays on TV. Rose was a generous women, quiet but warm. She was always making sure everyone was taken care of before thinking of herself. Rose will be remembered for her knack for sewing, famous home cooked meals, gardening skills, and a laugh that could put a smile on anyone’s face.
She is survived by; children Lori Sedgwick (Kelly); Cindy Fennell (Blaine) and family Matt (Jenny) and Megan Hoffus (Tyler) and sons Breyer and Dylan; Gord Cross (Donna) and family Travis (Meg) and daughters Brinley and Everley, Trevor (Steph) and children Hunter, Parker, and Hudson, Lindsay Zoerb (Mark), and Taylor (Kurt Gartner); and Ken Cross (Brenda) and daughters Nicole Newmeyer (Brady) and daughter Hannah, and Allyson. She is also survived by brother George Morin, sister Isabel Bonneville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey; parents Ralph and Adrienne Morin; siblings Edgar, Irene, Art, Yvette, Laura, Roland, Alice, and Jean.
Memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Rosetown United Church with Reverend Jo-Ann Hills officiating. Interment followed at Fiske Cemetery. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to Fiske Recreational Coop, P.O. Box 33, Fiske, Sask. S0L 1C0.
