Dae Youn Park, more commonly known as Simon, sadly passed away on April 22nd, 2023.
Simon was born on July 23rd 1968 to two hard-working teachers in Incheon, South Korea. He lived a modest and simple life and was a model student throughout his student life. After graduating from high school, he went on to study architecture at Inha University. Simon loved drawing and had the natural mindset of an engineer. He became a top student and graduated successfully.
After graduation, Simon worked as an architect for an architecture consulting company. In the many years working in architecture, he has been involved in multiple projects throughout South Korea. He designed hospitals, factory warehouses, and much more. He had a successful and fulfilling career.
While still living in Korea, he met Su A Yoon and soon married. They went on to have three kids, Dong Joon, Seobin, and Yubin Park.
Simon felt determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was always proud of his kids and always tried his best to support them.
As a result, in 2012, Simon and Su A decided to immigrate to Canada and chose Rosetown as a home. For work, Simon took over the car wash and laundromat from his parents who came before him. It was a tough life, experiencing everything from financial hardships to Canadian winters. But Simon always had a positive outlook on life. He was always optimistic and was sure that whatever happens, he could come home with a smile.
Simon will surely be missed by the family, and all those who interacted with him throughout his years living in Rosetown.
Simon was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
