Wilfred William SCHILLE

Wilfred William Schille passed away on June 29, 2023 at the Rose Villa at age of 79. He passed away as peacefully as one could ask for, eating a pickled egg and having a glass of chocolate milk.

Dad was born on June 14, 1944 in Wilkie, SK to Martin and Theresia Schille, the second youngest of five siblings. In 1960 he moved to Rosetown and began working at the BA Service Station. Dad worked as a mechanic for the majority of his life in Rosetown. In 1965 he met Elaine Domney and were married on July 3, 1971 celebrating just shy of 52 years together. In 1975 the two of them moved onto a farm in the R.M. of Pleasant Valley west of Rosetown. On March 14 1977 their first son Ashley was born followed by Warren on May 9 1981.

Dad loved the farm raising pigs, sheep and chickens but he always had a love for his cows. The countless hours he spent helping his boys raise 4H calves and following them around to every show and Achievement Day was very special to him.

Dad leaves to mourn his wife Elaine, his sons Ashley and Warren, his “little thumper” Tyson and his only other special young lady in his life Ciara, his “number one son” Kendall, his sister Leona, his sister-in-law Eva and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Theresia, his siblings Donald, Eileen and David, brothers-in-law Arnold and Emil, sister-in-law Carol and nephew Kyle.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish in Rosetown, SK.

Donations in memory of Wilfred may be directed to the Saskatchewan 4H Council or STARS.
