William "Bill" James ROBBIE

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Robbie, who left us on July 4, 2025, at the age of 82, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on August 19, 1942, in Rosetown, SK, Bill was a caring father, partner, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Clifford and Ruby Robbie, and two siblings, Violet Robbie and Donald Robbie. He is survived by his loving partner of many years, Myrtle Schneider.

Bill was a proud father to Darryl Robbie and wife Diana, Warren Robbie and wife Diane, Rita Lachapelle and husband Jarrod, Brenda McDonald and husband Dallas, and Glenn Robbie and partner Amanda.

He also warmly embraced Myrtle’s children, Norine Cooper and Kelvin Schneider, and was predeceased by her son Kenneth Schneider.

Bill is also survived by his siblings Ken Robbie (wife Rae), Sharon Johns (husband Bob) and special cousin Verne Robbie, along with 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He will be fondly remembered as a loving partner, father and brother, for his skilled hands, sharp wit, and memorable laugh. Children especially loved being around Bill; his warmth and playfulness made him a favorite among the little ones.

A Come-and-Go Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Herschel Memorial Hall. At Bill's request, please dress casually.
